Tom purchased land near rural Sparta, WI. He contacted us to put in a driveway for his future home build. We cleared trees, removed stumps, and mowed brush. We then excavated an area for his driveway. We added mesh due to sandy soil and hauled in breaker run and recycled black top to finish a great driveway and access to his building site.

We were contacted by Larry Cavadini to repair major erosion in the cropland on the farm fields of his ridge. We graded the area, repaired the ditches, seeded the waterways, and repaired the terraces. He also asked us to remove the rocks that were deposited by flooding in the trout stream along his cropland in the valley. The rocks were causing the water to run through his farm field. We obtained all the necessary permits from the DNR and the LaCrosse County Department of Land Conservation and completed the work.

We were contacted by the Perssons to remove a fence row that was overgrown on their property boundary shortly they purchased their first home. The overgrown hedgerow was preventing them from enjoying the beautiful view in their backyard. We removed the brush initially. We returned to remove stumps in the fall and graded the area to allow it to seeded into the lawn next spring.

Mr. Schams approached us as we were finishing a fence project on our own farm. He indicated that he had a stretch of fence that had been repeatedly washed out by flooding. He said he had been unable to find a contractor willing to erect a new livestock fence, due to those flooding complications. We measured the proposed fence area to establish what materials were needed, ordered the needed supplies, and completed the work in one day.

Tom called us to stabilize his driveway which was in danger of collapse due to repeated high water currents eroding the banks. After assessing the situation we decided it was necessary to grade the drainage area to prevent the water from washing against the bank of the driveway. We also decided to install riprap on the bank so that if the water level surpassed the normal drainage level, the riprap would prevent the bank from eroding further.
We graded the drainage area to allow for better water flow control and installed the rip rap to ensure the bank would
not erode in the future.
